My Story

My story

Tennis has been part of my life for more than 30 years.

What began as a family sport in Barranquilla, Colombia, remains an important part of my life today. Now I share my experience with beginners in Berlin – through clear technique, patience and a genuine enjoyment of the game.

01 · The beginning

It all began in Barranquilla.

I grew up in Barranquilla on Colombia’s Caribbean coast. Tennis was never a sport for just one person in our home – it belonged to the whole family. My parents played, my four sisters played and, naturally, I wanted to be on court too.

I learned early that tennis is about much more than the perfect shot. It requires concentration, movement, endurance and the courage to approach the next ball with confidence after every mistake. Above all, tennis connects people. That positive, family side of the game remains with me today.

“Tennis was not simply taught to me. I grew up with the game.”

02 · My journey

From Colombia to Barcelona and Berlin.

Barranquilla

Where the passion began

Surrounded by family, sunshine and tennis courts, the game became a lasting part of my life. This is where my enjoyment of tennis and my feel for movement and technique first developed.

Barcelona

A new perspective

Living in Barcelona for around ten years broadened my understanding of people, languages and different ways of learning. Throughout that time, tennis remained a reliable constant.

Berlin

Sharing my experience

I have lived in Berlin for around ten years. As a father of two, I understand how important patience, encouragement and clear explanations are when someone is learning.

03 · Today

Why I teach beginners today.

After more than 30 years on court, I want to make it easier for people to discover the game that has given me so much. Especially at the beginning, a clear technical foundation determines whether tennis feels complicated or natural.

My lessons are friendly and structured. We work on the correct grip, ready position, contact point, footwork and smooth movement. The goal is not to play perfectly straight away. It is to understand each step, notice your progress and look forward to returning to the court.

I remain an active player and continue learning myself. I bring that openness to every lesson: observing carefully, explaining clearly and adapting each exercise to the person in front of me.

04 · My lessons

Learn correctly. Stay relaxed. Enjoy the game.

01

Making technique easy to understand

Complex movements are broken down into clear, manageable steps. You should understand not only what to do, but also why you are doing it.

02

Learning at your own pace

Everyone brings different abilities and experience to the court. We build from your current level – calmly, attentively and without unnecessary pressure.

03

Practising with enjoyment

A good lesson can be focused and still feel relaxed. Small successes help your motivation and technique develop together.
